Mumbai police file case against Nusli Wadia and family over forged documents in property dispute.
Mumbai police have filed a case against 81-year-old Nusli Wadia, grandson of Pakistan’s founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and several family members over allegations of submitting forged documents in court during a long-running property dispute.
The case, prompted by a magistrate’s order, involves a 1990s development agreement in Malad with Ferani Hotels Pvt Ltd and builder K. Raheja, where Wadia claimed a 12% share of sale proceeds.
Ferani’s CEO alleged forged evidence was used in a 2010 Bombay High Court case, prompting repeated complaints without action until the court intervened.
The investigation, led by Bangur Nagar police, focuses on charges including forgery, cheating, and criminal conspiracy under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The legal battle has spanned years and reached the Supreme Court, with no public response from the accused.
