JSW Group to raise ₹7,000 crore via bonds to acquire up to 75% of AkzoNobel India.
The JSW Group is set to raise ₹7,000 crore through a four-year, seven-month zero-coupon NCD issue on September 29, 2025, to fund its acquisition of up to a 75% stake in AkzoNobel India.
Issued by JTPM Metal Traders, the bonds carry an 8.5% effective return, are backed by corporate guarantees, and have been rated AA by Care Ratings.
₹2,100 crore is reserved for anchor investors, with ₹4,900 crore open to the public; there is no green-shoe option.
The total deal, including an open offer, is valued at about ₹12,915 crore.
The acquisition was approved by India’s Competition Commission, and the initial agreement was signed on June 27, 2025.
JSW Group did not comment on the matter.
