India’s foreign minister led FIPIC talks, advancing cooperation with Pacific nations on key development and climate issues.

Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar chaired the FIPIC foreign ministers’ meeting at the UN General Assembly, reaffirming India’s commitment to a people-centric development agenda with Pacific Island nations. He highlighted progress on a 12-point action plan covering renewable energy, healthcare, cybersecurity, and skill development. Jaishankar also held bilateral meetings with officials from Mexico, Cyprus, and several Pacific Island countries, discussing enhanced cooperation on global challenges, climate resilience, and multilateralism. The engagements reflect India’s expanding diplomatic outreach across the Americas, Europe, and the Indo-Pacific.
