Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, a former director of a Delhi management institute, is on the run after being accused of sexual harassment by at least 17 female students, many from economically weaker backgrounds. Allegations include sending obscene messages, making unwanted advances, threatening academic failure, and using blackmail, with police uncovering digital evidence, tampered CCTV footage, and a saffron Volvo with forged UN diplomatic plates. Authorities have recorded statements from 32 women, filed multiple cases under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and issued a look-out notice. The ashram he was linked to has severed ties, and three female aides are under investigation. This follows prior unprosecuted complaints from 2009 and 2016, raising concerns about institutional accountability.
