Poly Medicure acquires Italy’s Citieffe for ₹324 crore to enter global orthopedic markets.
Poly Medicure Ltd has agreed to acquire Citieffe Group, an Italy-based orthopaedic device maker, for ₹324 crore (€23 million), gaining entry into the global trauma and extremities market.
The deal includes Citieffe’s operations in Italy, the U.S., Mexico, and distribution in over 25 countries, with 45 patents and regulatory approvals in key markets.
The acquisition, led by Poly Medicure’s second major purchase in a month, aims to expand its product portfolio, boost U.S. sales, and explore joint replacement and Indian manufacturing.
Existing management, including CEO Pascal Govi, will remain, and closing is expected in 4–8 weeks pending approvals.
The transaction, valued at 10.2x EV/EBITDA, is backed by Archimed, the previous owner.
