Police and MSPCA removed 115 animals from a Plympton home amid cruelty concerns; most were farm birds, all are at MSPCA for care.
Authorities removed 115 animals from a Plympton home on Tuesday during an animal cruelty investigation. The operation, involving police and the MSPCA, followed concerns raised by property owners about tenants housing animals. Officers and animal control inspected pens, coops, and sheds behind the residence at 34 Lake St., seizing cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, guinea hens, ferrets, quail, rabbits, and goats. Most of the animals—99—were farm birds. All were taken to the MSPCA’s Nevins Farm for medical evaluation and care. The MSPCA is leading the investigation, but no arrests or charges have been made, and officials have not released further details.
