Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested 26-year-old Mohammad Yousuf Kataria from Kulgam in connection with the April 22 Pahalgam attack that killed 26 people, mostly tourists.
Authorities allege he provided logistical support to terrorists linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba and its offshoot, The Resistance Front, following weapons recovered during Operation Mahadev.
The operation, involving Indian Army, CRPF, and police, led to the deaths of three terrorists, including a suspected mastermind, and uncovered a terror hideout with multiple weapons.
Forensic analysis confirmed the weapons used in the attack matched those seized.
Kataria, a seasonal teacher, confessed to supplying a phone to the attackers and has been booked under the Arms Act and UAPA.
He has been sent to 14-day police custody as the investigation continues.
