Ireland condemns Israel for drone strikes on aid flotilla in international waters, calling it a violation of international law.
Ireland’s Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan condemned Israel for allegedly attacking a humanitarian flotilla in international waters, calling the drone strikes on the vessel Spectre unlawful and a violation of international law.
The flotilla, carrying Senator Chris Andrews and over 20 Irish citizens, was described as a mission to deliver aid to Gaza and protest ongoing conflict.
Irish officials, including Prime Minister Simon Harris and Labour leader Ivana Bacik, expressed deep concern for the safety of citizens and emphasized that targeting non-combatants breaches humanitarian norms.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is monitoring the situation and plans to raise the issue at the UN and with EU leaders.
