FirstBank is rolling out specialized financial services for blind, partially sighted, and physically challenged customers across Nigeria in phases.
The initiative includes braille, audio, large print, and digital transaction documents and brochures, ATMs with high-contrast screens and voice prompts, tactile and braille-inscribed cards, and enhanced security features like soft PINs and tokens.
The effort supports Nigeria’s financial inclusion strategy and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, aiming to enable independent, secure banking for all customers regardless of ability.
