FIFA is hosting the inaugural FIFA Unites: Women's Series in Dubai from October 23 to 29, 2025, a historic four-team friendly tournament featuring the UAE, Chad, Libya, and the Afghan women’s refugee team.
The Afghan squad, formed this year through FIFA-led talent camps, makes its competitive debut in the event, marking a milestone in expanding access to football for displaced women.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino called the series a symbol of hope and progress, highlighting its role in advancing gender equality and using football as a force for social inclusion.
The tournament, hosted by the UAE Football Association, will provide players with pathways to club football, coaching, and refereeing, and will be broadcast globally.
