The charity highlights cancer as Scotland’s leading cause of death, accounting for 26% of all deaths, and stresses the need for political leadership and investment in research and prevention.
In response, Health Secretary Neil Gray pointed to progress, including £21 million in new funding for imaging and staffing, and a goal to see 95% of referrals within six weeks by March 2026, reaffirming the government’s commitment to the cancer strategy.
