A bomb blast derailed part of a train in Pakistan, injuring at least 12, including women and children, on September 23, 2025.
A bomb explosion on the Quetta-bound Jaffar Express in Balochistan’s Mastung district on September 23, 2025, caused six carriages to derail and one to overturn, injuring at least a dozen passengers, including women and children.
The blast, the second in the area within 10 hours, followed a prior attack on a clearance operation in the same region.
The train, carrying around 270 people, was halted at Jacobabad, and services remain suspended pending track repairs and security clearance.
This marks the latest in a series of attacks on the route, including a major hijacking in March and multiple derailments and assaults since August.
No group has claimed responsibility, and officials continue investigating.
Passengers have urged the government to ensure the train’s safety and reliability.
