Anson Resources secures a five-year lithium deal with LG Energy Solution for U.S. project starting in 2028.
Australian miner Anson Resources has secured a five-year lithium offtake deal with South Korea’s LG Energy Solution for up to 4,000 dry metric tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate annually from its Utah-based Paradox Basin project, starting in 2028.
The agreement, covering about 40% of the project’s initial capacity, includes a potential five-year extension and is tied to market-based pricing.
It supports Anson’s financing and final investment decision as U.S. demand for domestic lithium supply grows.
The deal reflects increasing confidence in U.S. lithium production amid a global price downturn and strengthens supply chains for electric vehicles and energy storage.
