A 21-year-old Omaha woman was arrested for a hit-and-run crash that killed a 72-year-old man on the 10th Street bridge.
A 21-year-old Omaha woman, Gabrielle Geist-Hunter, was arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash on the 10th Street bridge early Saturday morning, where she struck and killed 72-year-old Thomas E. Spratt, who was pushing a bicycle.
Authorities say she fled the scene, later crashed into a parked car, and was found with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit.
She faces multiple charges, including motor vehicle homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident, and is being held on $258,500 bail.
In other incidents, a Lincoln woman was hospitalized after being hit by a car near 84th and Holdrege streets, a three-vehicle crash in central Lincoln injured four people, and a high-speed four-vehicle crash near Wedgewood Drive left one person hospitalized.
Additional crashes in Lincoln and Omaha are under investigation.
