A 24-year-old former employee of HopeSpoke, a Lincoln youth mental health nonprofit, was arrested on September 19 on charges including sexual abuse by a school worker, sexual abuse of a detainee, and child abuse.
The incident allegedly occurred on April 23 when Brandon Young, who was driving a 17-year-old resident on a shopping trip, parked in an alley behind the facility, locked the vehicle, and assaulted the teen.
The victim reported the incident to a state hotline on April 30, prompting a Lincoln Police investigation.
Young was placed on leave immediately and later arrested, with no further details provided about the ongoing investigation or court proceedings.
