Sungrow launched the Philippines’ first large solar-plus-storage project, boosting clean energy and grid stability.
Sungrow has successfully commissioned the Philippines’ first large-scale solar-plus-storage project in Batangas, a 197 MWp solar plant with a 125 MW/320 MWh battery system using its PowerTitan 2.0 technology.
The project achieved a record two-day VSG off-grid commissioning, enabling stable operation before grid connection, and completed the nation’s first VRE compliance test, helping set new standards.
Supported by an all-in-one AC-DC design and pre-assembled components, the plant enables reliable, dispatchable renewable power, reducing fossil fuel dependence and advancing the country’s goal of 35% renewable energy by 2030.
The launch, attended by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., highlights Sungrow’s role in accelerating the Philippines’ clean energy transition, backed by its global leadership in solar inverters and energy storage.
Sungrow lanzó el primer gran proyecto de energía solar y almacenamiento en Filipinas, impulsando la energía limpia y la estabilidad de la red.
