Overcash, who has served in various assignments across the East Coast, Japan, the Pacific, and the Middle East, completed a rigorous interview process and now begins a two-year training program at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
The class includes two Purdue University graduates and other professionals from military, scientific, and technical backgrounds.
The training will prepare candidates for future missions to the International Space Station, the Moon, and beyond, as NASA continues to expand its human spaceflight capabilities.
