A mosque plan in Ayodhya is stalled despite court approval, as key clearances are missing.
The Ayodhya Development Authority has rejected a mosque construction plan in Dhannipur village, citing missing no-objection certificates from multiple government departments, including fire services, civil aviation, and pollution control.
The land, five acres allotted to the Sunni Central Waqf Board in compliance with the Supreme Court’s November 2019 verdict, was transferred in August 2020.
The mosque trust submitted its application in June 2021 and paid ₹4.03 lakh in fees.
Despite the court’s directive to provide land for the mosque and related facilities, the project remains stalled due to unresolved clearances.
The trust’s secretary expressed confusion, noting no formal objections were received, but the process remains delayed.
