A $2.1 million grant has upgraded Fairmont High School’s Career Technology Center in Kettering into a modern advanced manufacturing hub, equipping juniors and seniors with hands-on training in CNC machines, robotics, welding, and precision tools.
Students learn to read engineering drawings, apply math and geometry, and prepare for high-demand careers in aerospace, automotive, and industrial fabrication, where workers earn an average of over $86,000 annually.
