Influencer Genie Yamaguchi, 30, was sentenced to a three-month day reporting order with an electronic tag and a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew after pleading guilty to stealing $628.90 in items from a Don Don Donki supermarket in Singapore on August 25, 2024. The theft, captured on CCTV, involved 27 beauty products, bags, and food items taken by Yamaguchi and her friend, Lee Suet Keay Cheryl, who also pleaded guilty. Yamaguchi, who has no prior criminal record and fully compensated the store, was not jailed. The court chose the day reporting order as a rehabilitative alternative to jail or a fine. The case was heard in Singapore’s State Courts on September 23, 2025.
