Faith Evans founded Ryder’s Room Inc. to support autistic youth, launching a gala on Sept. 27.
Grammy-winning singer Faith Evans, known for her music since 1995, has shifted her focus to advocacy after her 18-year-old son Ryder Russaw was diagnosed with autism.
Inspired by a community of parents, she founded Ryder’s Room Inc., a nonprofit supporting families of autistic children.
The organization’s first major event, the Ryder’s Room Gala, is set for September 27 at The Newark Museum of Art, featuring artists including MC Lyte, Mike Epps, Redman, and Lil’ Cease.
Evans, who has stepped back from music, views her role as her son’s advocate as a personal mission and a divine purpose, emphasizing community, resilience, and the importance of resources like IEPs.
She remains grateful for her fan base and is committed to raising awareness and improving support for autistic youth.
