Star Copper Corp. found a large, high-grade copper zone in British Columbia, with drilling confirming strong mineralization and plans for expanded exploration.
Star Copper Corp. has reported encouraging preliminary drill results from its Phase 1 program at the Star Project in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle, with three holes confirming a broad, near-surface copper enrichment zone measuring at least 300 by 250 meters and extending to 100 meters in depth.
Holes S-051, S-050, and S-052 intersected significant copper equivalent grades, including high-grade intervals up to 1.56% CuEq, with mineralization showing strong lateral and vertical continuity and transitioning to deeper hypogene chalcopyrite.
The company has begun Phase 2 drilling to expand the known footprint and is optimistic about the project’s potential as a major copper district, supported by recent Canadian government backing for mining in the region.
Additional results from three remaining Phase 1 holes are pending, and some copper assays remain capped pending re-assay.
