A record $2.6M Australian bull sale saw strong demand for high-genetic-value Angus and Charolais bulls.
The 2025 Ascot Charolais and Angus bull and heifer sale at North Toolburra, Warwick, achieved a 100% clearance with 201 lots selling for $2.6 million, marking strong results with high averages for Angus bulls at $17,013 and Charolais bulls at $15,491.
The top Angus bull sold for $54,000 and the top Charolais bull for $42,000, with buyers from four Australian states and New Zealand.
Attendees exceeded 300, and bulls were distributed across Queensland, NSW, Victoria, and Western Australia.
Demand was driven by genetics focused on growth, marbling, and hybrid vigour.
A separate sale by Quarterway Angus in Tasmania saw 41 of 43 bulls sold, averaging $8,121, with the top bull fetching $14,000.
