A man in NSW was caught speeding at 126km/h in a 60km/h zone, lost his licence, and had his car registration cancelled.
A 33-year-old Kia Stinger driver had his licence suspended and vehicle registration cancelled after allegedly speeding at 126km/h in a 60km/h zone on Oran Park Drive in New South Wales on September 19, 2025.
Authorities said the driver, who was behind the wheel of a twin-turbocharged V6 Stinger GT, claimed he didn’t know the speed limit or his own speed despite having a speedometer and head-up display.
The incident occurred in a suburb once home to the historic Oran Park Raceway, which operated from 1962 to 2010 and hosted major events including the Australian Grand Prix and the first Australian Touring Car Championship.
The site was later redeveloped into housing, though local streets still honor racing legends like Peter Brock and Allan Moffatt.
