Kavitha, daughter of Telangana's CM, accused family and party allies of blocking her from her hometown, citing political persecution and personal grievances.
Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha, daughter of former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, vowed to confront those she believes cut her off from her family and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi during Bathukamma celebrations in her father’s hometown, Chintamadaka.
Emotionally addressing supporters, she accused unnamed individuals, including her cousin Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao, of restricting her access to the village, calling it a public space, and claimed she faced political barriers since the Telangana movement began.
Kavitha, who resigned from BRS and her MLC position on September 3 after being suspended for anti-party activities, said she was targeted for speaking up about her parents’ well-being and criticized alleged corruption linked to the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.
She credited Chintamadaka as the birthplace of the Telangana movement, thanked villagers for their support, and said she hopes her birthplace becomes her "karmabhoomi," though she has not yet decided her next political steps, stating she will consult with supporters and party cadres.
