A historic Glasgow whisky building has been renovated into 25 apartments and a restaurant with a revived gilded sign.
A historic Glasgow building, originally constructed in 1875 as the headquarters and dram shop for William Teacher & Sons, has been transformed into 25 serviced apartments and a ground-floor restaurant and bar.
Led by Mosaic Architecture + Design for JFM Electrical (Holdings), the redevelopment restored the façade, updated lighting, and revived the iconic gilded 'Teacher' sign, with planning permission to reinstate the original 'Scotch Whisky Distillers' signage.
The ground and lower ground floors, ready for a tenant, will accommodate up to 101 indoor and 110 outdoor covers.
The project preserves the building’s heritage while repurposing it as a hospitality hub in St Enoch Square, marking a revival of a listed landmark.
