Gujarat launched a cashless health scheme with ₹10 lakh coverage and 94 new ambulances on Sept. 22, 2025.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the Gujarat Karmayogi Swasthya Suraksha Yojana on September 22, 2025, offering cashless medical coverage up to ₹10 lakh for government employees, officers, pensioners, and their families.
The scheme, inaugurated in Gandhinagar, included the distribution of Ayushman cards and the flagging off of 94 new 108 ambulances equipped with advanced technology to improve emergency response times and save lives during the critical "golden hour."
The event highlighted the state’s push to strengthen public healthcare access and emergency medical infrastructure.
Earlier, Patel had emphasized Gujarat’s cooperative legacy during a meeting in Amreli, linking it to the freedom movement and the contributions of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel.
