Dingo Ate My Taco's food truck reopens as a permanent taqueria in Melbourne’s Chinatown.

Taqueria Sin Nombre, a new Melbourne taqueria in Chinatown’s laneway, opens as a permanent home for the popular Dingo Ate My Taco food truck brand, which began in 2020. Marked only by a small neon dingo sign, the walk-in-only, unlicensed spot features a rotating menu with house-made tortillas and creative tacos like smoked chicken skin chicharron, Texas-style brisket, carnitas, al pastor on a trompo, and a kangaroo-based “kanga asada.” Other offerings include whole prawn tacos, quesabirria with consomme, and choripapas. The restaurant serves solo diners and couples, reflecting the brand’s shift from mobile to brick-and-mortar in the city’s CBD.
