Delhi High Court orders probe into alleged EVM tampering in Delhi University student election.
The Delhi High Court has issued a notice on a petition challenging the results of the September 18, 2025, Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) presidential election, citing allegations of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) tampering.
Filed by former DUSU President Ronak Khatri and NSUI candidate Joslyn Nandita Chaudhary, the petition claims blue ink markings on EVM screens influenced voting, undermining secrecy and fairness.
The court ordered all EVMs, paper trails, and related documents preserved under secure custody and scheduled a further hearing for December 16.
While Delhi University denied tampering, stating only a thumb mark was present, the court acknowledged the seriousness of the allegations concerning electoral integrity.
The winning candidate has not been made a party to the case, and the matter remains under judicial review.
