The 2026 BMW iX3, launching in North America in September 2025, marks the debut of BMW’s Neue Klasse electric lineup, featuring advanced digital tech, up to 400 miles of range, and 400 kW charging.
Built on a new platform with higher energy density batteries and a 17.9-inch display, it includes standard NACS charging and four high-performance computers.
BMW also plans to produce the iX5 Hydrogen fuel cell SUV in 2028, using a Toyota-developed fuel cell system for zero-emission, fast-refueling driving with long range.
The model will complement battery-electric options and is part of BMW’s broader strategy to explore multiple sustainable mobility paths, including infrastructure development via the HyMoS project.
