The UAE launched a national campaign on Sept. 21, 2025, to make itself the global startup capital by training 10,000 Emiratis and creating 30,000 jobs by 2030.
The UAE, led by Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, launched the national campaign "The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World" on September 21, 2025, to boost entrepreneurship among Emiratis and position the country as a global innovation hub.
The initiative, supported by over 50 public and private sector partners, aims to train 10,000 Emirati entrepreneurs, create 30,000 new jobs by 2030, and expand the startup ecosystem through the digital platform StartupEmirates.ae, which offers free mentorship, training, networking, and co-working spaces.
It includes specialized programs in business, construction project management, tax agency certification, and real estate incubation, alongside a national expo for young entrepreneurs.
The campaign strengthens the UAE’s economic diversification strategy, building on SMEs’ contribution of over 63% to non-oil GDP and the country’s growing reputation as a top destination for startups and foreign investment.
