On September 18, Peace Regional RCMP and the Western Alberta Division’s crime reduction unit stopped a blue Ford F150 with a mismatched license plate in Dixonville, leading to the seizure of nearly 530 grams of amphetamines—including crystal form and bead-like drugs disguised as crafts—along with a firearm, ammunition, stolen items, and drug-related materials. The vehicle, stolen from Mackenzie County on August 7, was linked to an ongoing investigation. Police warned the public about the dangers of the bead-like drugs, which could be mistaken for children’s toys, urging people not to touch suspicious items and to report them immediately. Authorities are seeking information about the suspects or vehicle’s movements and encourage anonymous tips through Peace Regional RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
