The Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust says the cumulative impact of large-scale construction, even with plans for schools, a train station, medical centers, and over 110 acres of green and blue infrastructure, could harm biodiversity if projects are assessed in isolation.
They urge integrated planning that includes wildlife corridors, habitat restoration, and long-term conservation.
The site, currently rural with a disused air base and Ministry of Defence housing, has drawn objections from residents and environmental advocates who stress balancing growth with nature protection.
The developer, Dorchester Living, has not commented.
