The incident began late Saturday night when the suspect, dropped off near a shopping center on South Marietta Parkway, allegedly pulled a firearm on the driver during or after the ride.
The driver escaped and called 911.
Officers arrived, surrounded the home, and deployed SWAT after the suspect refused to comply with orders to exit.
Around 4 a.m., authorities obtained a search warrant and entered the home, arresting the suspect without incident.
The gun used in the alleged assault has not been recovered, and police continue searching for it.
