Housing sales in India’s top nine cities fell 4% in the July-September 2025 quarter, with 100,370 units sold, marking the 10th consecutive quarterly decline, according to PropEquity.
The drop was driven by weaker demand in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Pune, while Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata saw gains, led by Kolkata’s 25% rise.
New housing launches remained flat year-on-year at 92,229 units.
Despite lower supply, sales outpaced supply, with industry experts citing strong end-user demand and economic growth in key markets.
