India hosts a six-day human rights training for 12 Global South nations, promoting cooperation and rights-based governance.
The National Human Rights Commission of India, with the Ministry of External Affairs, is hosting a six-day ITEC capacity-building programme in New Delhi from September 22 to 27, 2025, for senior officials from 12 National Human Rights Institutions across the Global South.
The event, led by NHRC Chairperson Justice V. Ramasubramanian, features interactive sessions, field visits, and cultural exchanges aimed at strengthening human rights protection, advocacy, and institutional resilience.
Drawing on India’s three-decade experience, the programme promotes South-South cooperation, enhances understanding of international human rights standards, and fosters collaboration among NHRIs to advance rights-based governance.
