Gujarat’s health campaign provided free screenings and care to 42,000 women across rural and urban areas.
Gujarat’s Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan, a nationwide campaign launched on September 17 and running through October 2, has provided free health services to over 42,000 women in Dahod and thousands more in Kutch and Navsari districts through more than 100,000 health camps.
Held at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, primary health centers, and community health centers, the initiative offers screenings for anemia, TB, cancer, diabetes, and other conditions, along with antenatal care, vaccinations, specialist consultations, and telemedicine.
Beneficiaries receive support with registering for government health schemes, nutrition programs like Take Home Ration and food kits, and cash aid for TB patients.
Health awareness sessions, blood donation drives, and community engagement activities promote preventive care and healthy lifestyles.
The campaign, aligned with Poshan Maah and India’s 2047 health vision, involves ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, volunteers, and private providers, aiming to strengthen maternal and child health across rural and urban areas.
