The initiative highlights a two-tier tax system—5% for essential goods and services like food, agriculture equipment, and healthcare, and 18% for most consumer items, including electronics and automobiles—with a 40% rate on luxury and sin goods. Certain essential services remain exempt. The campaign, timed with the festive season, aims to boost public awareness and support for economic reforms under the current government.
