A 17-year-old Las Vegas teen, Julio Bravo, was fatally shot during an alleged robbery attempt at East Las Vegas Family Park on September 15, according to police and the Clark County Coroner's Office.
He was shot multiple times after resisting two masked teens who demanded a friend’s handbag.
The friend was injured by bullet fragments but survived.
Three teenagers were arrested, including 17-year-old Jose Juarez, who was charged as an adult with open murder and other felonies.
Juarez, who had unfired cartridges in his pocket, allegedly planned the robbery and led the group to the park.
Two other suspects, also minors, are being processed in juvenile court, one with a prior record.
Julio’s family and attorney are demanding that all suspects be tried as adults, citing the severity of the crime.
A bail hearing is set for September 22, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for October 2.
