Woolworths is proceeding with a $30 million supermarket development in Broadmeadow, Newcastle, after winning an appeal in the NSW Land and Environment Court.
The project will replace existing buildings on a 6,400-square-metre site with a 3,400-square-metre Woolworths store, a BWS liquor store, a cafe, two specialty retail spaces, parking, and commercial areas.
No residential units are planned, despite the site’s zoning for future mixed-use development.
