Three Singaporean youths, ages 17–28, were arrested for fake bulk order scams using stolen military identities, causing $32K in losses.
Three people, aged 17 to 28, were arrested in Singapore during raids on September 18–19 over suspected involvement in fake bulk order scams impersonating Singapore Armed Forces personnel.
Authorities believe they acted under a scam syndicate’s direction, with one man allegedly providing his Singpass credentials for payment and two others helping register phone lines used in the fraud.
The scams, which began on September 4, targeted businesses like food stalls and florists, resulting in losses of at least $32,000.
Police continue investigating and warn that sharing Singpass details or supplying SIM cards for fraud can lead to fines up to $10,000 or up to three years in prison.
This follows earlier arrests of three other suspects.
