A Minnesota man faces charges for threatening emails after conservative activist Charlie Kirk's killing, alleging liberal and Jewish people were involved.
A 64-year-old Minnesota man, John Allen Sandeen Jr., faces multiple charges including terroristic threats and stalking after allegedly sending threatening emails between September 12 and 16, 2025, following the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The emails, sent from an address linked to Sandeen, targeted a church music director in Maple Grove and another in White Bear Lake, accusing them and others—particularly liberals, Jewish people, and left-leaning individuals—of involvement in Kirk’s death.
Sandeen, who reportedly knew one victim from past musical collaborations and attended a church event there, claimed Kirk was his “friend” and threatened violent retaliation, including breaking fingers and preventing music-making.
Authorities found ammunition and electronic devices in his vehicle.
He is in Ramsey County custody, faces up to 20 years in prison, and a $20,000 fine if convicted.
Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty condemned the threats as “chilling and extremely graphic,” citing broader concerns about political violence in the wake of recent attacks and assassinations.
