Lauritzen Gardens’ conservatory is reopening after an $11.3 million, 18-month renovation that modernized its climate control, lighting, and ventilation systems.
The 17,500-square-foot facility now features nine themed plant regions showcasing global flora, including rare species like the cannonball tree and baobab.
New attractions include a plant chandelier, terrarium-filled plant library, staghorn fern wall, and teak root displays.
Expanded guest space, an overlook for events, and an eco-friendly bottle refilling station were added.
The adjacent woodland trail also reopens.
Admission is included with garden entry and free for members.
The project aims to provide an enhanced, educational experience celebrating plant diversity.
