Olson, a band director from Illinois, gained momentum by finding two Daily Doubles, finishing Double Jeopardy with $17,400.
In Final Jeopardy, the category was “Slogans,” referencing Kazakhstan’s “Very Nice” Borat-inspired tourism campaign.
Pasco answered correctly and wagered $7,601, but Olson also answered correctly and wagered $2,202, finishing with $19,602 to Pasco’s $17,401.
Olson became the new winner and will return on September 22.
