India to launch GST reforms on Sept. 22, 2025, lowering taxes on 11 West Bengal goods to boost local economy.

The rollout follows consultations with state governments and aims to simplify compliance, with most refunds processed automatically. The Centre will not compensate states for revenue losses, as it already shares 41% of GST collections.
