India ranks as the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem with over 100 unicorns and nearly 200,000 start-ups, driven by rapid advancements in AI, blockchain, robotics, and big data, according to Dr. PK Mishra, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Modi.
Speaking at IIM Mumbai’s convocation, he highlighted India’s progress amid global challenges through reform and innovation, aligned with the 2047 vision for a developed nation.
Key initiatives include a Rs 1 lakh crore research fund, the India AI Mission, and a deep tech fund of funds.
Mishra emphasized that technical skills alone are not enough—attitude, teamwork, and collaboration are vital for national development, calling on future leaders to contribute through responsibility and collective effort.
