Amul has lowered prices on over 700 products, including butter, ghee, milk, ice cream, cheese, and snacks, effective September 22, 2025, following a GST rate reduction in India. The price cuts, passed on to consumers, range from 3% to 17%, with notable reductions such as butter dropping to Rs 58 per 100 grams and 1-liter milk priced at Rs 75. The move aims to boost dairy consumption, support affordability, and strengthen the link between farmers and consumers, as Amul is owned by 3.6 million farmers. The changes were communicated to distributors, retailers, and Amul Parlours nationwide.
