Wade St. John Sr. pleaded not guilty in the Aug. 26, 2025, fatal beating of Djay Loudner in Spencer, Iowa.
Wade St. John Sr., 44, of South Dakota, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the August 26, 2025, death of Djay Joseph St. John Loudner in downtown Spencer, Iowa.
Surveillance footage showed St. John severely beating Loudner in an alley, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
St. John, charged with a Class A felony carrying a mandatory life sentence, is held at the Clay County Jail on a $750,000 cash bond.
His court-appointed attorney is Amy Kepes from the Iowa Public Defender’s Special Defense Unit.
A trial date has not yet been set.
