Two elk hunters are missing in Colorado's San Juan Wilderness amid heavy rain and challenging search conditions.

Two 25-year-old elk hunters, Andrew Porter and Ian Stasko, are missing near the Colorado-New Mexico border after being last seen in the San Juan Wilderness Area west of Trujillo Meadows Reservoir. Their vehicle was found at the Rio De Los Pinos Trail Head with camping gear and backpacks, and they failed to check in with family as planned. Heavy rain and poor weather are complicating efforts as a large-scale search involving air units, ground teams from multiple states, dogs, drones, and volunteers is underway.
