Three teens charged after a motel stabbing left a 52-year-old worker hospitalized.

Three teenagers—aged 11 and two 15—have been charged in connection with a stabbing at a Moree motel on September 14, 2025. A 52-year-old employee was attacked by five youths who broke into his room, sustaining wounds to the torso and arm. Four suspects fled, and a 13-year-old was initially arrested; the others were later taken into custody at Tamworth Police Station. All five face charges of special aggravated break and enter and committing a serious indictable offence (wound). Bail was denied, and they are set to appear in Children's Court on September 19. The victim was hospitalized but is in stable condition.
